STAFF AND PATIENTS IN HOSPITAL BUT NOT MENTIONED IN BOOK
Competition Winner:
Mrs Amanthea Fatebenefratelli-Stroudl (submitted by Paola)
"Ant" for her friends and for the colleagues she pretends to be friendly
with. Successful business woman, recovering from a benzodiazepine addiction.
Has a compulsion to change the colour of her nail enamel every three or four
hours, more often if the people in the room don't match the colour. Has four
cell phones: one for her family, one for business, one for her Schnautzer dog,
and one that she keeps hidden and won't talk about; this one gets stolen one
day while she is in a meeting with her anxiety management therapist. She then
attempts suicide by drinking nail varnish remover.
And the other fantastic entries.

has had a bed for a few years now and always looks a little ill.
Vince Reno. (Submitted by Ryland Death)
Cop. Part of a task force recruited to take out meth cookers. Comes in after
he's killed someone. To see the body before it's trucked to the morgue. Doesn't
talk to anyone, flashes his badge, smokes a cigarette with the stiff, leaves.
No one says anything about his smoking because he's fucking scary.
Agnes Ergnott (submitted by Jacque Badeau)

you know.'
Emeline Fishlock-Cranch. (submitted by Andy)
An over-sexed vegan, yoga-teacher and serial bit-part player in BBC period dramas
just dying to have her own one-woman show. Or build an eco house in New Zealand,

after a motorcycle accident and enjoying the time out from a somewhat intense
five-year relationship.
Magenta Mimi Lazar (submitted by Annie)

Nurse. Male. Illegitimate love-child of an Italian colonial Eritrean man named
Aurelio Merolla. Named by his mother. Sent to Europe for an education so as
not to bring shame to a proud family. Often spends free time with the Porters,
where he walks more upright than among the nursing staff. Severely fascinated
and confused by Suzi Lerph.
