I received this email from Katie Cooke (02.04):
I've just seen the piece you wrote on your site, a couple of years ago about
short short stories. And it's reminded me of the three word novel competition
run by one of the papers many years ago. I think it was The Telegraph,
but it might have been the Times. I can't track down any specific reference
to it, but I do remember the winner: 'God lay dying.'
A runner up, and maybe the most surreal, was 'The wardrobe
coughed.'
If you have any other short novels/stories, I'd be interested to hear.
